Candle Holder Workshop at Harbour View House

Join us for a festive evening at Harbour View House and learn how to make up to two candle stick holders to enjoy this Christmas. You will be guided in creating your own design, while incorporating a variety of techniques to add details and texture.

Choose to leave your candle stick holders bare or have them glazed by Shannon in a lovely, white or charcoal glaze to accentuate the details.

Treat yourself to a delicious Harbour View House festive drink and nibbles, which will be included in your ticket, and settle in for a cosy, relaxing evening over looking St Ives Harbour.

One-to-One Hand Building Workshop

The perfect opportunity to develop your hand building skills.

You will be taught the fundamentals of working with clay, using both ancient and modern techniques to create functional or sculptural objects you can treasure for life.

If you have experience with hand building and would like to develop your existing skills, then this session can be tailored to you. Please get in touch to let me know what you would like to focus on.

One-to-One Throwing on the Wheel

Experience creating vessels to use in your home for years to come. You will learn basic clay preparation, how to confidently use the electric pottery wheel and familiarise yourself with the tools and processes needed to create well made pots.

This session can be tailored to those who are looking to improve existing skills. Please do get in touch if you would like a session that focusses on a specific process or method.

Each student can choose two pieces to be trimmed, fired and glazed and postage can be arranged for an additional fee.

Open Access Studio

A chance to have access to a fully equipped, warm and bright, pottery studio. You will be able to use the space and equipment to create your own work independently while in the company of fellow potters.

A tutor will be present to guide you to set up and be ready to make in the space. This session is for potters who have experience working with clay, tuition will not be provided during this time. Participants must be 18 years+ of age.

There will be a small charge for materials and firings.

Hand Building Evening Course

Join me for your weekly unwind in the studio.

Learn a variety of hand building processes and techniques and build your confidence with working with clay.

Refreshments, aprons and materials provided.

Each student will take home up to five pieces of work which will be glazed and fired once the course is complete.

This is a six week course and will be held on Wednesdays 6.30pm-8.30pm.

Kids Have a Go on the Wheel

Come to the warm and inviting studio to learn basic clay preparation, how to confidently use the electric pottery wheel and familiarise yourself with the tools and processes needed to create wheel-thrown pots.

This session is tailored to children and family groups. There is capacity for up to 3 students to throw at the same time. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Each student can choose two pieces to be trimmed, fired and glazed and postage can be arranged for an additional fee.
